Robert J. Funk, P.E., LEED AP – President

Bob_FunkTeamSinglesThe third generation of the family that bears his name, Bob has been president since 1998. Bob began his career in the United States Air Force in 1975, where he specialized as a computer technician. After serving in the Air Force, Bob attended Pennsylvania State University, grad­uating with a structural engineering degree.  Bob remains close to the team, managing and advising estimating and project management departments, monitoring the status of projects for bid and budget as well as staying privy to the ongoing status of current projects. Bob is a people-person and is responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships and  seeking new clients. His goal is to help all clients achieve their vision for the project. He accomplishes this by assisting with early cost analysis and budgeting and contributing to the architect selection and design process.  Safety is his #1 priority. During your project you will find him consistently monitoring job site safety.  Active in his community, Bob has been a member and officer of many board of directors and service organizations both in his industry and for many non-profits.

David H. Funk, P.E. – Project Manager

David received his BS in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University in 1986.  Shortly after graduating, he began his career at Fay, Spoffard and Thorndike in Boston as a civil design engineer.  Called to serve, David enlisted with the Peace Corps, where he designed and built rural roads and bridges in Africa. Upon returning to the states, David worked as a structural design engineer, designing low rise commercial buildings. In 1991, David became a project manager with Arthur Funk & Sons Inc. As project manager, David is responsible for contract review, shop drawing preparation, reviews and analysis, and scheduling.  He also works closely with his project superintendents to coordinate project flow from inception to completion. Throughout a project David also works closely with the architect and owner to form a unified team, ensuring best delivery for the project. In addition to Project Management, David is in charge of Talent Acquisition, interviewing future associates and coordinating the review process.

Dale L. Reppert – Vice President – Project Manager

Dale Reppert received his BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 1975.  He began his professional career that same year with his family’s kitchen and bath business, H. W. Reppert & Sons, Inc. where he designed home and light commercial remodeling projects and assisted clients in coordinating their interior selections. During that time he was also in charge of coordinating and managing the manufacturing and installation of custom cabinetry projects. His early years growing up in a family business exposed him to the practical side of the construction field starting from the ground up working with the installation trades and learning directly how things are done in the field. Dale Reppert has been a project manager for Arthur Funk and Sons Inc. since 1984. As Project Manager, Dale is responsible for facilitating the construction process which involves reviewing of contract documents and shop drawings, project scheduling and job coordination. He works closely with the owner, architect, subcontractors and project superintendent to ensure that client satisfaction, design intents, construction quality and scheduling are maintained.

Kenneth A. Funk, P.E. – Project Manager

Ken Funk is the Vice President of Arthur Funk and Sons.  He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1987 and his MS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991.  Ken began his career in 1987 in Syracuse working for the Syracuse Research Corporation. There he designed, engineered, and tested radar systems. His role also included the design and construction of RF Receiver Systems and the scheduling and reporting of information to Military Customers. During this time, Ken received his professional engineer’s license in Electrical Engineering. In 1996, Ken returned to Lebanon to be project manager for Arthur Funk & Sons Inc.  As project manager, he is responsible for the monitoring of job progress through shop drawing analysis, scheduling, quality control, site safety, and cost control. He works closely with the field staff, the architect, and the owner to form a unified team ensuring the best delivery for the project.

Scott R. Yiengst – Project Manager

Scott Yiengst has been a part of the Arthur Funk & Sons team since 1978.  He was an ABC Apprentice from 1979-1983 and a Journeyman Carpenter from 1983-1985.  Although he started his career as a laborer, Scott quickly ascended to carpenter and, in 1986, advanced to superintendent, a position he held for 12 years. Having a strong field background resulted in Scott’s smooth transition into the office, where he was an estimator from 1999 to 2006. Since 2006, Scott has been a project manager for the firm. As project manager, Scott is responsible for the smooth delivery of a project through scheduling, coordination, and cost control. Having a background in both field work and estimating gives Scott a strong understanding of project delivery. Scott’s daily communication with his superintendent, thorough shop drawing reviews, and subcontractor coordination make him a very effective project manager

Jessica E. Kosoff, E.I.T. – Project Manager

Jessica Kosoff received her BS in Architectural Engineering in 1997 from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She began her professional career in 1996 as a project engineer for CRSS, a Jacobs Engineering Company, at the construction of the NOAA Laboratory and Office Facility in Boulder, Colorado. After a few years in the estimating department at Alexander Constructors, Jessica joined Barclay White Skanska as Project Engineer where she later teamed with Arthur Funk & Sons Inc, for the construction of the Good Samaritan Hospital Masterplan project. Since then, Jessica has been involved in a variety of projects including medical, CCRC, commercial, industrial, educational, and religious. Jessica Kosoff has been a project manager for Arthur Funk & Sons since 2004. In addition to her PM duties, Jessica prepares estimates and writes contracts utilizing her background in estimating. Other duties include submittal preparation, review and analysis, scheduling, and overall job coordination. She works closely with the owner and the AE Team to ensure that all expected design elements are included in the design and are captured in the project budget.

Stephen E. Reed – Senior Estimator and IT Support

Steve Reed received his education from R.S. Means Continuing Ed in Estimating and ICE Estimating and Administration. Steve began his professional career in the family business, Ira R. Stickler & Son Construction, as an apprentice. He later became project manager. After 3 years, he decided to change gears and joined Klick Lewis car dealership as finance manager. He went on to become the General Manager. After serving as Sales Manager at Frederick Chevrolet, Steve returned to his roots in the construction industry when he joined Arthur Funk & Sons Inc. in 1988. His many years of diverse experience in the construction and finance industries make him a valuable asset to our company. Steve Reed is senior estimator for Arthur Funk & Sons Inc. His responsibilities include soliciting subcontractor pricing, preparing hard dollar and negotiated bids, and writing contracts. Steve is often involved in a project at its inception, helping the owner to understand the cost as it relates to design. Often, he produces multiple budgets prepared throughout the course of a project to refine costs and designs that best suit the owner. In addition to estimating responsibilities, Steve is the company’s IT administrator.

Nathan J. Fry – Project Planning and Estimating

Nathan Fry started his career in 1987 as a consultant to the sales team with Swartz Supply, designing and drawing kitchens and bathrooms. He was also involved in a variety of home designs. After his time at Swartz Supply and receiving a diploma in Architectural Design from Thompson Institute, Nathan taught at Thompson Institute for three years. This position transitioned him to working for Crabtree Rohrbaugh Architects in Mechanicsburg and, later, Kaylor Architects in Lebanon. He worked at Kaylor Architects for 13 years before joining Arthur Funk & Sons. Nathan Fry has been project planner and estimator for Arthur Funk & Sons since 2006. Nathan’s design background provides our customers with the additional benefit of a fully code-compliant project design. Nathan’s thorough understanding of code requirements and his related ability to address unforeseen design components allow us to more accurately derive a cost impact at the forefront of a project. His CADD operation expertise further enhances the abilities of our estimating department.

Harry J. Cain – Senior Estimator

Harry Cain graduated from Penn State University in 1977 with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering specializing in Construction Management.  Harry has been in the construction industry ever since.  In 2005 Harry joined Arthur Funk & Sons as our senior estimator and has held that position for 25 years.  Harry is responsible for preconstruction activities including budgeting for negotiated projects and bid preparation for hard dollar projects. In addition to having a long estimating resume, Harry Cain is competent in Timberline Estimating Software. Over 25 years developing company cost and estimating databases, Harry is well-versed in many different construction systems and design and costing. Developing close relationships with subcontractors has helped Harry generate a large database of resources providing up-to-date pricing and the latest designs and products for our customers. This helps to keep Harry’s cost engineering accurate and realistic, allowing the owner to rely on very probable budgets.

Jon Belleman – Project Estimator

Jon began his career working in his family’s residential remodeling business, Belleman and Son. Jon Belleman received his Construction Management degree from the Pennsylvania College of Technology.   During college, he was an intern with Rigidply Rafters before becoming an installer/estimator for Solar Innovations.  His most recent position was estimator/drafter for Conestoga Building, a division of C. B. Structures, Inc. Jon joined Arthur Funk and Sons in August 2016 and is one of our Project Estimators.
